This is a recipe that my grandmother (Not Gram) heard on the radio, but she didn't get the name; so she just called it Radio Pudding.
Syrup Mixture
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon butter
- a pinch of salt
Put on stove and let boil. Then stir in 1 tablespoon flour disolved in 1 cup of cold water.
Boil.
Biscuit
In a bowl, mix together:
- 1 tablespoon butter (soft)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup raisins or dates may be added if desired.
Drop this mixture by spoonfulls into syrup (as dumplings). Bake in moderate oven 20 minutes or until nicely brown.
Enjoy!

This is almost identical to my grandma's recipe (probably jotted down from a radio broadcast). I love this and make it every winter! Thanks for posting.
