Gram's Candy

Ingredients

• 2 cups brown sugar
• 1 level tablespoon flour
• 1 teaspoon backing powder
• 1/2cup milk
• 2 teaspoons butter
• a pinch of salt

Directions

Mix together well. Cook, stirring constantly until it just starts to hair.

"Hair" means that when you remove the stirring spoon and allow the liquid to drip from the edge, the drop will remain attached to the spoon by a very fine strand (hair) before it breaks.

Beat until creamy and pour into a greased dish.
